Self Serve Handicap System Golf Handicap

The terms golf handicap and the term handicap index are used interchangeably. It should be noted that the term handicap index is used only to refer to the index established through the governing body in the respective country. The handicap system established by the governing body of the respective country determines the handicap index.  It is to be noted that any amateur golfer can claim the handicap.

It is to be also noted that the amateur golfers can also use the self serve handicap system . the self serve handicap system can be used by the amateur golfer if he does not want to join any club and get the handicap index from the club. It should however be noted that the self serve handicap system cannot however be used  in competitions which is official and most of the tournaments do not recognize this system. The handicap system does not reflect the average score of the amateur golfer. It should not noted that the handicap index is a arithmetic number which is most often used for comparison with the course rating. On comparison the course handicap can be determined. The golf handicap calculator is used for calculating the net score. A specific arithmetic formula is used to calculate golf handicap.
